History

Donco Construction, Inc. was established in 1979 by Don DeArmon specializing in transmission and distribution powerlines & substation construction in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky and Missouri. The primary client base consisted of electric utility companies, coal companies and industrial plants. Specialized off-road line equipment and heavy wire stringing equipment made Donco Construction, Inc. an essential resource for its customers.

In March of 1999 Greg Fowler, then Executive Vice President of J. F. Electric, Inc. purchased all of the assets of Donco Construction, Inc. and formed Donco Construction LLC. Shortly thereafter, Donco expanded its operations to provide contract meter reading services for utility customers.

In August of 2003, Donco Construction LLC purchased the assets of Kuhn Electric located in Centralia, Illinois, a woman-owned business specializing in residential, commercial and industrial electrical contracting services. With Greg Fowler's transition to President of J. F. Electric, his wife Candice Fowler acquired a majority membership interest in Donco and became actively involved in Donco's management.

Reflecting the expansion and diversification of Donco's electrical construction services, the company changed its name to Donco Electrical Construction LLC in 2004.

In 2005, Candice Fowler became President of Donco Electrical Construction LLC, and in April 2008, acquired the remaining membership interest in the company, becoming sole owner.
